BE CLEAN BE COOL 2008

The goal of this project was to raise awareness and education, especially of young people, regarding the problems of addiction and the facilities, activities, and plans of the Association. The project was funded by various economic entities.

I AM CLEAN 2007

This project targeted addiction in the secondary school population. The project held events with music, information, and education. This project was implemented in the area of Vinkovci, Đakovo, Bali Monastir, and Osijek and was financed by the Ministry of Family, Veterans, and Intergenerational Solidarity

DRUG STOP 2006

STOP DRUGS – Osijek 2008  

This project focused on motivational consulting and preparing addicts seeking rehabilitation treatment. This was done through spreading awareness to reduce health and social consequences caused by addiction, distributing promotional materials, launching a website to promote the organization’s work in the media and the public. Projects were financed by the City of Osijek.

FINANCING BASIC ACTIVITIES 2007

Through this project, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare funded core business counselling and therapeutic community of the “Ne-ovisnost”.

NEW BEGINNING 2008

Through this program, we worked with drug addicts in the penal (prison) system by implementing educational and motivational self-help groups. This included motivation to go to rehab at the end of their prison sentences, penal acceptance, and providing legal assistance. The project is funded by the Government Office for Combating Drugs Abuse of the RC.

Prevention, early detection, treatment and rehabilitation of drug users in 2008

The project activities are funded by counselling and therapeutic community “Ne – ovisnost” by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

Information to the PREVENTION 2008

Provided educational lectures by rehabilitated addicts, users of the therapeutic community, and experts in the field of addiction in primary and secondary schools. This project in the field of prevention was financed by the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs.

NEW BEGINNING 2009

The continuation of the project activities of BEGIN 2008 with substance use in the penal system. The project is funded by the Government Office for Combating Drug Abuse.

OUR BUSINESS 2009 <

Providing employment of rehabilitated addicts through the launch of activities such as renovation and construction services. Acquired tools and vans needed to set up and carry out activities, while educating participants on their uses. The project is financed by the Dutch Foundation for Cooperation – CNF.

DRUG STOP 2009

This program promotes motivation, preparation, and involvement of addicts in treatment and rehabilitation services. Self-help groups for abstainers and family members of addicts were also initiated. Promotional and educational materials were provided. The project is funded by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of RH.

In an attempt to prevent addiction at the secondary school population, this project incorporated music and education. SOCIAL EDUCATION rehabilitated addicts 2009
CATION “Gambling addiction”

Initiative to train the staff of the Association and the leaders of self-help groups to best help those suffering from a gambling addiction. Also the start of self-help groups for those with a gambling problem through a 12 step program. The project is funded as part of the ad hoc aid of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

KNOWLEDGE AGAINST DRUG ADDICTION

Provided education to young people about the issues concerning addiction and drugs. The main activities of this project were interactive and educational workshops to inform the public of the problems of youth addiction. The project was funded by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.

RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY 2010

Quality reintegration of addicts into society after completion of the program of recovery and rehabilitation in a therapeutic community. The realization of the project funded by the Government Office for Combating Drug Croatia and co-financed by the Osijek-Baranja County.

The project is a preventive measure and is financed by the Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity.

OUR SOUVENIR 2010

In order to learn a unique skill set and a useful trade, program members developed a workshop where they are able to create original handcrafted souvenirs which are distributed to local stores in Vrbica. In engaging in this project, participants are able to learn responsibility and business-like venture. The project is funded by the Ministry of Tourism.

RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY 2010

As a way to ease recovering addicts back into society, an organized apartment-like setting for rehabilitated addicts who go through the process of gradual re-socialization was established. While in this housing, residents take on various responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, and exploring employment opportunities. ANTI VIRUS Osijek three-year program 2011-2014

An attempt at reducing the damage caused as a result of addiction by promoting prevention of the spread of blood / sexually transmitted diseases such as viral hepatitis and HIV infection in active addiction. The program was funded by the Ministry of Health of Croatia. The program ended with 31.05.2014. However, the Association has continued with its implementation.

PREVENTION 2013-2014

Project aimed at the prevention of addiction among students of primary and secondary schools, which included educating parents and the public about the issue of addiction. The program ended with 15.07.2014.

INCLUDE ME

The main objective is to contribute to the successful social reintegration of drug addicts in the area of Croatia. The specific purpose is to empower users to abstain during their resocialization through education, information, and participation in various social activities. Direct beneficiaries are abstaining addicts. Partners and associates in the project are PRONI- Centre for Social Education, Centre for Entrepreneurship, the Croatian Employment Service, the Association of “legal advice”, the Association “Win”, Ph.D. Damir Miholic, Ph. D.. Silvija Ručević and graduate psychologist Nada Ivanovic. The project is financed by the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth.

TI BIRAŠ – YOU CHOOSE

The overall goal of the project is to strengthen protective factors for beneficiaries (children aged 10 to 18 years) in order to suppress and prevent further risk behaviour and consumption of drugs and addiction. Specific objectives are to raise the level of knowledge and awareness of the harmfulness and impact of drugs and other addictive substances, strengthening social skills and changing attitudes regarding abuse of drugs and other addictive resources. Partners, associates and external associates of the project are PRONI-Centre for Social Teaching, Roko Idžojtić, Osijek Children’s and Youth Training Centre, Đakovo Social Work Centre and Mental Health Services, Prevention and Outpatient Treatment of Dependency of Institute of health of Brodsko-Posavska County. The project was funded by the Drug Abuse Office.

“It works” – Employment Club “Ne-ovisnost”

The project “It works” – The “Ne-ovisnost“Employment Club was funded through the Local employment development initiatives-phase 2 and the contracting authority was the Croatian Employment Service. The overall goal of the project was to stimulate employment growth through the preparation and implementation of the Youth Employment Club with primary and vocational education and rehabilitated addicts. The specific goal of the project is to create the preconditions for continuous assistance in career development and job search for young people with basic and vocational education and rehabilitated addicts, all together with the goal of empowering, motivating, mentoring and socializing. Target groups of this project are rehabilitated addicts and young people with elementary school and secondary vocational education. Based on experience in the field of rehabilitation and resocialization of addicts, the project leader has recognized what is needed to help the rehabilitated addicts into the normal course of life. By applying this experience together with the implementation of the methodology of employment clubs in this project, target groups will overcome the necessary “soft” skills and knowledge through continuous education, mentoring and support. Through this, they will empower and occupy a proactive attitude towards job search, socially reintegrate, and thus increase their employability and competitiveness in the labour market. In order to give the target groups the best possible link to employers and their vision of the employment process, the Centre for Entrepreneurship was selected as a partner in the project. They have great knowledge and skills in writing and implementing EU projects, and working with young people. As part of the project, 12 Employment Clubs will be held. The core of the club’s work was the ongoing and attentive follow-up of the participants.

DROGA STOP 2015.

The Anti-virus Project Osijek (2015- 2016) is a project funded by the Ministry of Health in the area of ​​ harm reduction. We have contributed to the reduction of health and social damage resulting from drug dependence and the prevention of infection and further spread of HIV / AIDS and other blood and sexually transmitted diseases among intravenous drug addicts and improving the social status of project beneficiaries.

The project “I Want another Opportunity” (2015) was created in response to the need to implement psychosocial rehabilitation, treatment and re-socialization of addicts and to strengthen the partnership between NGOs and other stakeholders in the development of work-social skills, education and employment programs and inclusion of treated addicts in various cultural, sports and educational activities.

The project’s carrier is the Ne-ovisnost – NGO. Partners, associates and external associates in the project are PRONI – Centre for Social Teaching, Mental Health Care, Prevention and Outpatient Treatment of Dependency of the Public Health Institute of Brodsko-Posavska County, Centre for Entrepreneurship, Association “Legal Advice”, Association “Pobjeda” , dr.sc. Silvija Ručević (External Evaluator), Likar Association, and the Chamber for Psychiatric Disabled Osijek. The project is funded by the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth.

 

 

DROGA STOP 2016.

With the project, we tried to suppress and prevent further risk behaviour, drug use and addiction, and motivate for treatment, providing health, legal, psychosocial help to active addicts and sensitizing the public about the problem of addiction in the Osijek City. The project was financed by the City of Osijek.

The Safe City Project – Antivirus is a three-year program (2016-2019) is harm reduction program through which we are impacting the health of vulnerable groups in order to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases, raise the quality of life and reduce stigmatization.

The program is implemented by the Ne-ovisnost Association, and the partner in the program is the Public Health Institute of Osječko – Baranjska County Osijek, the Centre for Voluntary Counselling and HIV / AIDS Testing. The project is funded by the Ministry of Health and runs from November 10, 2016 to November 10, 2017.

I want to know! is a project of resocialization of addicts in which we want to contribute to the re-socialization of addicts in the Republic of Croatia and to create a platform for the development of work-social skills in rehabilitated addicts as prevention of relapse. By implementing this project, we will influence the level of education and employment of this vulnerable group – rehabilitated addicts. We will also raise awareness of the wider and professional public about the issue of unemployment of rehabilitated addicts which makes their reintegration into society more difficult. The project is implemented by Ne-ovisnost Association, and the partners in the project are the Open University Algebra and the Public Health Institute of Osijek-Baranja County.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy and runs from 1 November 2016 to 30 October 2017.

Project I have the attitude and I want to be healthy is an innovative and contemporary project aimed at reducing the number of young people who are using tobacco products by rewarding non-smoking behaviour.

The aim of the project is to suppress and prevent the occurrence of tobacco addiction among children and young people and the risk behaviour of children and young people related to experimentation with addictive drugs. The idea of ​​the project is modern and innovative and differs from most preventive addiction programs because the main activity is not focused on the dangers arising from addiction, is not based on the intimidation of the target group but backs up positive behaviour or non-smoker behaviour. The project is implemented by            Ne-ovisnost Association, and the partner in the project is the Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek. The project is funded by the Office for Combating Drug Abuse and runs from 8 November 2016 to 7 October 2017.

 

Droga stop 2017. project has been created in response to the need to suppress and prevent further risk behaviour and consumption of addictive substances and addiction. We want to motivate active addicts for treatment, provide health and psychosocial assistance to active addicts and parents in the city of Osijek, educate employees of the association about gambling /betting addiction and raise public awareness about addiction issues. The project leader is the Ne-ovisnost Association. The project is financed by the City of Osijek and runs from June to October 2017.
